About

More than thirty years giving shape to the image

At twelve I earned a scholarship to train for five years in the techniques of the Quito School. I have been refining the craft ever since.

Francisco Jurado in his studio

I am Francisco Jurado, an Ecuadorian artist based in Quito. I command oil, watercolor, acrylic and freehand drawing, and I have joined that classical foundation with a state-of-the-art digital workflow: ZBrush sculpture, 3D scanning and photogrammetry, CGI and resin printing.

I work for clients in Ecuador, Mexico, Panama and the United States, carrying the iconographic fidelity of sacred art into contemporary production pipelines — with on-site 3D scanning available wherever the sculpture stands.

Certified instructor by Ecuador’s National Artisans Board (Junta de Defensa del Artesano).

How I work

The path of a commission

Every piece follows a clear process, with reviews and your approval at each stage.

I

The idea

We discuss your project: references, dimensions, iconography, materials and budget.

II

The model

I sculpt the piece digitally and send you renders for review. We refine it together until you approve.

III

The making

The piece takes physical form: resin 3D printing, carving, polychromy or whatever finish the project calls for.

IV

Delivery

Technical documentation, packing and shipping, with installation support when the project requires it.
